Security Architecture for Mobile Objects - Will Harwood

  As part of the FollowMe project architecture work, Will has been developing a security architecture for mobile objects, covering potential threats, countermeasures and security functions. Will will present his architecture and the implications it has for the design of secure mobile applications.

Java in Soft Real-Time Systems - Tim Harris
  Tim will report on his work exploring Java Virtual Machine, Just-in Time Compiler and Garbage Collection facilities to enable the use of Java in the context of the Cambridge University Nemesis Real-Time Operating System.

Mobile Object Workbench Developments - Richard Hayton, Douglas Donaldson
  Richard and Douglas will give an account of their work on a common framework of "transparency management abstractions" within FlexiNet to unify the treatment of mobile clusters and persistent clusters.

Richard will give a report on the implementation of the Network Class Loader whose design was presented at the last meeting.

Mobile Object Security Implementation - Takanori Ugai
  Takanori will give a final report on his mobile secure object implementation for FollowMe and show demonstrations of the technology he has built. This will be Takanori's final presentation before he returns to Japan at the end of the week.

Mobile Agents - Mike Yearworth (University of West of England)
  Mike will present the work of UWE in the FollowMe project on adding agent and scripting facilities to the Mobile Object Workbench developed by APM.

Transaction Framework - Zixhue Wu

  Zixhue has made considerable progress with the implementation of his transaction framework and its alignment with the Java Enterprise Beans specification. He will give a demonstration of current facilities

  Andrew will give a review of deliverables from the FollowMe Project recently advertised to ANSA Consortium members.

Centre for Communications Systems Research - Stew Lee

Prof. Lee will introduce the Cambridge Centre for Communications Systems Research as a possible channel for sponsors to continue to be updated on developments in "Middleware" research after formal completion of the ANSA Programme.
