Satellite navigation has changed the way we drive, but it has its origins in military needs and advances in space technology.

About the speaker

Norman is a former navigator on Victor bombers, sometime deputy-commander NATO early warning systems at Mons, a past President of the Royal Institute of Navigators and an expert on Global Navigation Satellite Systems which began operation in January 1964. He is also a formidable speaker.
