Consortium Status - Andrew Herbert

There are no changes to Consortium membership. APM Ltd has now changed it's name to Citrix Systems (Cambridge) Ltd. The potential application from "Open Connexion" has failed to materialize. Fujitsu are owed an annual report for 1998. The Management Board will be asked to confirm there are no outstanding consortium issues.

Progress Report - Andrew Herbert

The Management Committee with be asked to accept the FlexiNet Technical Report, FlexiNet code distribution, ANSA Archive CD and Consolidated FollowMe project deliverables as the final output of the ANSA Phase 3 Work Programme. (Note: Since FollowMe doesn't finish until March, the deliverable will be shipped in early April).

Financial Report - Eric Palmer

Eric will give a final report on effort expended against budget, payment status (sponsors and CEC) and informal audit report on Citrix Systems (Cambridge) Ltd accounting records for ANSA.

IPR Issues - Andrew Herbert

After review Citrix has decided against seeking to patent ANSA IPR. The Management Board will be asked to confirm a policy that any sponsor can release ANSA technical results to the public domain royalty free after December 1999. IPR from related projects (e.g., FollowMe) is excluded from this. ANSA contractual and project management documents should remain private.

ANSA Web Site - Andrew Herbert

Citrix will seek the Management Board's input on the future of the ANSA web site and the possibility of it being hosted by another sponsor.

 

 ANSA Final Event - Andrew Herbert

A report will be given on the status of the planning for an ANSA Celebration Event.

 

 Computer Laboratory Industry Update Seminar - Alan Mycroft

Alan Mycroft of the Cambridge Computer Laboratory will introduce a proposed new seminar series in the Computer Laboratory which could meet the need expressed at previous meetings for sponsors to keep in touch with academic research.

Please advise the Chairman and/or Project Manager in advance of any matter you wish to raise.

The Management Board will be invited to formally close the ANSA Phase III Work Programme and release Citrix Systems (Cambridge) Ltd from its role as Project Manager and Consortium Coordinator.
